Examinations
All subjects and exam boards are detailed within the drop down sections below.
External regulations
The Joint Council for Qualifications regulates examinations in England. It is important that you familiarise yourself with the regulations which govern these examinations. The documents section at the bottom of this page contains the key information required, and the privacy notices that all candidates are to familiarise themselves with.
Mock exams
Dixons Middleton Academy completes two rounds of mock GCSE exams. These are held in official JCQ exam conditions, with students being held to the same regulations. We use our team of highly trained invigilators to complete these. This gives students the best possible preparation for what they will face in their final GCSE exams.
We hold one round of mocks in November, and one in February.
Summer GCSE Exams
External GCSE examinations occur between 01/05/2026 - 16/06/2026. These dates do not include speaking examinations, and are exclusive of the national contingency day of 24/06/2026.
A list of examinations and their corresponding dates sat by students at Dixons Middleton Academy can be found here.
Please ensure both parents and students understand the exam regulations set out by our academy and by the Joint Council for Qualifications, some guidance of which can be found in the downloads section at the bottom of this page.
